Missions Updates

By now you have heard about the earthquake that hit the Concepcion area of Chile and the resultant tsunami that struck the seaside town of Talcuhuano.  ZEFC supports missionaries Manuel and Susan Abarca and their family serving in nearby Quillon. 

Manuel's parents and his sister and family are presently living with Manuel and Susan.  Manuel and his family have moved from a tent back into their home.  They are ministering now in their area by sharing what resources they have in the way of food and clean water.  We are happy to say that an initial gift from the people of ZEFC is already on its way to help supplment this need.

The Abarcas host daily outdoor worship services to offer hope in their community and are reaching out to the people in both practical and spiritual ways. 

Pray that aftershocks would cease, that looting would stop, and that the Abarca children could begin to be at peace.  Above all pray that God's will be done in teh lives of people in Quillon and the surounding areas.
